I am currently a Governing Board Member of the San Carlos School District, elected November 2007. I created this site to keep in touch with folks who want to know more about what is happening in the District and what it's like to be a Trustee.

Throwing Away the Pink Slips

Last night at the School Board meeting, we rescinded all of the layoff notices that we gave certificated teachers in March. This was obviously due to Measure B passing. So that means there will not be any layoffs of classroom teachers, assistant principals, and other “certificated” personnel (which includes some literacy teachers, etc.).
